TikTok proprietor ByteDance has accused Facebook of plagiarism and smears though it didn’t elaborate on the accusation.

The Beijing-based firm made the feedback in an announcement late on Sunday posted on its official account on Jinri Toutiao, a information aggregator app it owns.
“ByteDance has always been committed to becoming a global company. During this process, we have faced all kinds of complex and unimaginable difficulties, including the tense international political environment, collision and conflict of different cultures and plagiarism and smears from competitor Facebook,” it stated.
Facebook didn’t instantly reply to a request for remark.
The assertion didn’t point out pressures within the United States that ByteDance at the moment faces to dump its well-liked short-video app TikTok.
