The Railways has drawn up a tentative plan to revive mail and specific trains for the Punjab area from November 24, the nationwide transporter stated on Sunday.
“As per information received, the rail agitation is likely to be lifted in the evening of November 23. Accordingly, tentative plan for restoration of train services in Punjab area shall be as below,” stated the Railways because it offered an inventory of trains that can be restored.
“The plan is subject to track safety, clearance to be received by respective divisions from associated state government and security units,” the restoration plan ready by Northern Railways stated.
“A total of 17 trains will be restored, including eight for Punjab area and nine for Jammu and Katra,” it stated.
However, all trains will stay cancelled for Monday.
These trains would be the first set to be operated by the Railways after nearly a two month suspension as a result of farmers protest within the state.
The Railways has stated that the trains will keep a most pace restrict of 60kmph for safety causes.
However, 26 particular trains scheduled for November 23 and 24 will stay cancelled, the Railways stated.
On Saturday, the Railways had stated that it might resume items and passenger prepare providers in Punjab following the state authorities’s communication that the tracks have been clear for operations hours after the protesting farmers determined to permit the providers to function.
