The Noida Police on Tuesday busted an organization manufacturing faux check kits for COVID-19 and arrested an individual, officers mentioned.
Nearly 4 lakh faux speedy check kits have been recovered from the corporate positioned in Sector 7, underneath the Sector 20 police station space, they mentioned.
“The fake company was busted a day after a complaint about it was made by a representative of a COVID-19 test kit-making company. This company had claimed that its forged labels are being used on fake testing kits,” a police spokesperson mentioned.
Rajesh Prasad, who runs this faux firm, has been arrested. He was picked up from his dwelling in Delhi’s Ashok Nagar, he mentioned.
According to the police, 3.97 lakh pouches carrying faux antibodies speedy check kits for coronavirus have been seized from the corporate.
An FIR has been lodged underneath the Copyright Act, 1957 on the Sector 20 police station, and additional proceedings are underway, the police mentioned.
