“Hang The Culprits”: Bollywood Seeks Justice For Woman Raped In UP

Several Bollywood celebrities have expressed their outrage on social media over the loss of life of a 20-year-old lady who was gang-raped and tortured by 4 males in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras two weeks in the past.

The lady who had suffered a number of fractures, paralysis and a deep gash in her tongue died this morning in a Delhi hospital.

Actor Akshay Kumar has known as for the hanging of the rapists, including the incident has left him “angry and frustrated”.

The lady, who belonged to the Scheduled Castes group, was raped on September 14 in her village in Hathras, some 200 km from Delhi. She had been within the ICU in a hospital in Uttar Pradesh till she was moved to Delhi yesterday after her situation confirmed no indicators of enchancment.

Echoing an analogous sentiment, Riteish Deshmukh mentioned the culprits of the brutal and “horrific” crime must be “hanged in public”.

Swara Bhasker mentioned the brutal gang rape was a reminder that there isn’t any restrict to monstrosity.

The lady, in her assertion to the police, mentioned she was dragged by her dupatta into the fields from a spot the place she had been reducing grass together with her mom and brother.

Farhan Akhtar posted a heartbreak emoji and mentioned it was a “sad, sad day”. “How much longer can this be allowed to go on,” he wrote.

Actor Yami Gautam mentioned it was disgusting that girls are subjected to countless brutality.

“Tried really hard to gather my thoughts before expressing my sorrow, anger and disgust. It”s 2020 and still so many Nirbhayas have to give their lives.

“Can’t think about the ache she will need to have endured and her household. Praying for extreme punishment and justice,” she wrote.

The savage assault has been compared by many to the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape.

The four accused, who have already been arrested, will now also be charged with murder.
