A cat detained at Sri Lanka’s foremost jail whereas allegedly attempting to smuggle medication and cellphone SIM playing cards has escaped, media studies stated Monday.
The feline was detected by jail intelligence officers on Saturday on the high-security Welikada Prison, a police official stated.
He stated almost two grams of heroin, two SIM playing cards and a reminiscence chip had been present in a small plastic bag tied across the cat’s neck.
But it escaped on Sunday from a jail room the place it was saved, the Aruna newspaper stated.
There was no rapid remark from jail authorities.
The jail had reported a rise in incidents of individuals throwing small packets of medication, cell telephones and cellphone chargers over the partitions in current weeks.
