Andy Murray calls for more mixed-gender events on main tours

Tennis is “missing a trick” by not together with more group events involving each women and men on the main tours, three-times Grand Slam winner Andy Murray has stated.

Mixed doubles is at present performed solely on the 4 Grand Slams on the skilled tennis circuit.

“Golf is another sport where I think it would be interesting to see a mixed Ryder Cup event,” he stated.

“Again it’s a sport where they are able to do it and they just miss out a little bit. I do think people really enjoy watching it, and the players like it too.”
